What is Charity ? As per Indian Rishis (sages)

In the book Parashar Smriti written by Sage Parashar, he has outlined ten principles in the society to bring heaven on earth.  In the second principle among them, he says about charity.  Within the world there should be prepared men who have taken the vow of truth principles.  The flow of intellectual power, financial power and physical power in this world should flow in the direction of preparing these fasting people.  intellectual power, financial power and physical power are these three streams.  intellectual power, financial power and physical power these three streams should be united and emphasized. Its name is donation.  (This is charity)
